HI, I'M LYNN MCBREARTY

Me as an End of Life Planning Facilitator….

I am used to dealing with death, which isn’t surprising at my age!

The loss of grandparents, parents and a sibling have all brought different emotions and grief. I have also processed a lot of death admin and know how energy zapping and all consuming that can be, to the point of it taking away the ability to fully grieve.

I was a primary carer for my father, he lived with me, for the last 5 years of his life he lost more and more capacity and for the last 2 years of his life he was medically ‘at end of life’. Life was hectic, putting his needs first along with the day to day management of his care. After his death when arranging his funeral it hit me that I didn’t know the person my dad was, I didn’t know about his childhood, I didn’t know what it was like for him going from a child into a father… I only knew him as a dad.

The story above is why I am passionate about talking about death! I want to work with people to help them accept that death is a natural part of living, and help them organise their life admin to make it easier for family and loved ones to deal with their death admin, and to help create a living legacy to celebrate a life well lived.

Me as a Life Coach…

Like a lot of people, I experienced adversity in my childhood and young adult life, which has helped me understand how our past life events can have a limiting effect on our future life.

I am an empathetic, caring and understanding coach. I work with my clients to help them to overcome their limitations that stop them living the life they want or believe they deserve. I believe that we can all be happier if we address our lives and attitudes from the inside out.

Some examples of the clients I work with are those who:

  • Want to lose weight or have body image issues
  • Struggle with anxiety
  • Have issues around confidence or self-esteem
  • Want to change their job or career
  • Are experiencing a life change, such as retirement, redundancy, divorce, empty nest syndrome or bereavement Are training for a sporting event

Me as a Personal Trainer….

I was never any good at sport at school, I came from the era where we had to do PE in navy knickers and a white vest – I never found it inspiring! I took up running when I was 30 years old, and got the ‘bug’ and went on to take part in numerous 5k, 10k, half-marathons and marathons.

I struggled with injury (I’m not a natural runner), so turned my attention to weight training and core fitness – this is where the magic happens! And now I’ve hung up my running shoes and replaced them with road bikes!

I work with a wide range of clients, different ages and abilities. My main focus is strength and conditioning training, which, in my opinion, is the basis for all fitness and activity.

Me as a Reiki Master….

Before becoming a Reiki Master, I used to have Reiki. I know the calming effects it has on the body and mind. We fill our heads with ‘stuff’, we are busy doing ‘stuff’, we don’t give ourselves the time to slow down and process the ‘stuff’ we’ve filled our lives with.

Back in the day we used to stand in a queue and daydream and let our mind wander, now we are busy on our mobile phones… we don’t stay still.

I feel it is a gift for me to give Reiki, to allow you to be still, to allow you to settle in a safe space to relax and let Reiki do its work.
